The Master Plan is a document designed to guide the City in making decision about future land use and development. The current Community Development Plan was adopted in 2000 with an update in 2012. As cities evolve and populations change, the city should evaluate the opportunities and challenges they are likely to encounter. The Master Plan takes into account changes the city has planned (such as sidewalk improvements) and changes the city desires to occur (redevelopment of an underused industrial property). This then forms the vision for future development.
